Our client a successful restoration company are seeking a Payroll and Administration Clerk to join their small friendly team. This role would suit someone who is methodical and highly organised and able to work on their own as well as be a team player in a busy working environment.


Duties and responsibilities:

Payroll –

  • Weekly and monthly payroll through Sage Construct, accounts and payroll
  • Administration of pension scheme
  • CIS scheme administration
  • PAYE
  • Updating weekly labour on

Training –

  • Keeping an up to date training matrix
  • Liaising with site and managers to book course
  • Monthly CITB claims based on training certificates etc

Administration –

  • Answering the telephone
  • Typing letters
  • Filing
  • Post
  • Purchasing materials and buying


Skills and experience required:

  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience within a payroll administration environment
  • Numerate with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas when needed
  • Good working knowledge of Excel is desirable



  • Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm (one-hour lunch – 35-hour working week)


Salary and benefits:

  • £18,000 – £22,000
  • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
  • Pension
