    We’re looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to work with our client and be part of a friendly and industrious team, you will play a key role within the finance function, working closely with the Purchase Ledger Supervisor and Financial Controller.

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Coding and processing of all invoices (high volume and multiple line)
    • Assist with the Bank Reconciliation for all bank accounts
    • Age Creditors maintenance including pro-actively chasing invoices for pro-forma payments
    • Query resolution
    • Supplier statement reconciliation
    • Checking and matching receipts with expenses
    • Manage and reconcile Petty Cash monthly and check petty cash reconciliation from other offices
    • Obtain monthly credit card receipts, create and post the credit card transaction journal
    • Assist with VAT reconciliations
    • Maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers
    • Continuous process improvement review
    • Ad hoc assistance within projects as and when required

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • AAT qualification / studying desirable but not essential
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment
    • Strong knowledge of accountancy software – Sage 200 desirable along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills due to dealing with large volumes of data (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, formulas)
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Highly numerate with high degree of accuracy
    • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in developing relationships with internal customers

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Friday 8.00 am – 4.30 pm

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • Circa £26,000
    • 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
