    Job description:

    We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well reputed local company, who are currently looking for a Temporary Project Officer supporting the Deputy Head/Research Lead through proactive and effective planning and administration.

    This is an ongoing temporary role for up to a year and candidates must be available to start within 1-2 weeks.

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • £13.17 per hour
    • Free parking
    • Monday to Friday up to 37 hours per week
    • Office based

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Establish local networks of settings to share knowledge and effective practice
    • Share information and advice on evidence-informed approaches, through newsletters, blogs, events, webinars and social media and selecting which ones to fund and make available
    • Act as a point of contact for bespoke advice and signposting/referring to other funded support
    • Support with the project plan and making sure key deadlines are met
    • Work with the finance and marketing teams to track monthly budgets and support with the recruitment and coordination of opportunities
    • Run meetings including creating agendas and taking minutes to report monthly progress against targets to internal and external stakeholders
    • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and programme members and establish new networks
    • Support in seeking new opportunities for other commercial programmes both regionally and nationally
    • Identify and secure appropriate training delivery whether face to face or online
    • Help secure high quality speakers for appropriate programme delivery where appropriate
    • Assist with producing reports for governance, DfE and other key stakeholders
    • To attend local, regional and national programme management meetings and events if required
    • Communicate updates, changes and developments relating to the programmes
    • Respond to queries in a positive manner
    • Explore further commercial programme opportunities with the Department for Education

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous administration experience is essential
    • Experience of working in a professional development or managerial role would be desirable
    • Confident communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to be an effective and supportive team member who is also self-motivated and can work alone
    • Can prioritise conflicting demands and works well under pressure
    • Ability to take a problem-solving approach to tasks and develop solutions
    • Enjoys building and maintaining effective working relationships and has worked with senior leaders
    • Flexible and adaptable
    • IT literate – MS Office
