We’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading local logistics provider, who are looking for an enterprising and proactive Warehouse Adminstrator to join their friendly team.
The successful applicant to this interesting and varied role will carry out a wide range of administrative processes within the Warehouse Business Unit, effectively controlling the daily flow of customer deliveries, despatches and stock holding.

Duties and responsibilities:
- Effectively controlling all goods in and dispatch paperwork.
- Carrying out prompt, accurate and effective update of goods arrivals and despatches on WMS
- Printing of product labels for inbound and outbound goods.
- Recording onward charges to key accounts on each relevant movement.
- Communicating with peers and transport teams to ensure barriers to success are removed.
- Booking and expediting transport for customer collections and dispatches
- Working with Warehouse Manager to increase efficiency of work flows through the warehouse and yard.
- Ensuring all product is received, packed, presented or dispatched to customer specification in adequate time to meet delivery requirements in adherence with the signed customer SLA.
- Being the point of contact for all customer enquiries on orders, stock holding and future tasks.
- Making sure that all incoming stock, stock in store and picked stock is recorded, scanned and picked accurately and to the required standard.
Skills and experience required:
- Extensive previous experience in a similar administrative role within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
- IT proficient, with a good knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
- A high-level of self-confidence and self-motivation, with the ability to work on your own initiative and manage your workload.
- Diligent, structured, and organised approach to work – with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
- Ability to work in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment.
- A positive and ‘can-do’ attitude with logical problem-solving skills.
- Takes pride in producing thorough and accurate work with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday
- 8:00am – 6:00pm / 6:00am – 4:00pm on an alternating weekly rotational basis
Salary and benefits:
- £22,000 – £24,000
- Parking
- 20 days’ annual leave + 8 bank holidays
