We are recruiting a Part-Time Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of a well-known manufacturing organisation that has been established in Leicester for nearly 130 years.
The successful candidate will work as part of a small, friendly and industrious team and will report into the Finance Manager. This will be an office-based role, but my client is flexible on hours / days that the successful candidate would want to work.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Preparation of payment runs for review and processing (multiple currencies / banking systems)
- Obtain authorisation on invoices from production / purchasing departments
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Record and analyse carrier postage costs for allocation across business units prior to posting
- Customer and client supplier query resolution
- Dealing with financial paperwork and filing
Skills and experience required:
- Previous experience of high volume and UK / overseas purchase ledger
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience of using accounting software packages (Navision desirable)
- Strong excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUP’s desirable)
Hours:
- 30 hours per week, over four or five days per week
Salary and benefits:
- £25,000 pro-rata
- 24 days plus bank holidays pro rata, four days to be used at Christmas
