Accounts Senior

A well-established, growing business is looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join its dynamic team in Northampton.

Along with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum, you will also receive, private medical insurance (after probation), free parking at the office, 20 days holiday (plus bank holidays), flexible working arrangements – in terms of both hours and hybrid working and office close over Christmas.

Working 37.5 hours per week, the core hours are 10am – 4pm (Mon – Thurs) / 10am – 12pm (Fri). Hybrid working after initial training period with 1-2 days in the office per month.

As Accounts Senior, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of company accounts along with the preparation of the corporation tax return
• Supporting the Accounts Managers with any ad hoc work that comes in from corporate clients
• Assisting the outsourced services team by preparing management accounts and VAT if required
• Assisting with client project work such as forecasting

We are looking for an Accounts Senior who has the following skills and experiences:

• Previous experience working within a Practice (minimum 5 years)
• ACCA / AAT or QBE
• Experience of working on clients across a wide variety of industries
• Strong accounting knowledge, specifically FRS102 1A
• Strong Corporate tax and VAT knowledge
• Organised and efficient
• Good working experience of accounting software (ideally IRIS and Xero)
