Job description:
Our client, a growing accountancy firm, are seeking a Part Time Credit Controller to join their small friendly team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing credit control duties and building relationships with customers to ensure that credit is monitored and controlled effectively. The role will also involve completion of accounts administration and project work.
Hours:
- Part Time 30 hours per week. Equivalent full time hours 9am – 5pm (Mon – Thurs) 9am – 4pm (Fri)
- Office based
Salary and benefits:
- £14.00 per hour / £27,000 pro-rata

Duties and responsibilities:
- Collection of overdue debt via email and phone
- Management of direct debit receipts
- Processing of purchase invoices onto Sage
- Processing of payments by phone
- Posting and allocating receipts onto client accounts and update system accordingly
- Bank reconciliations
- Providing customers with monthly statements
- Managing client accounting deadlines
- Client query resolution
- Answering the phone and first point of contact for visitors to the office
- General administration and ad-hoc project work
- Process improvements and efficiencies
Skills and experience required:
- Previous credit control experience
- Knowledge of Sage 50 is desirable, but training will be given
- Confident with effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Initiative-taking individual
- Ability to work effectively within a small team environment and support other areas when needed
