Job description:
On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for a passionate, people-orientated HR Advisor to join a growing advisory team on a 6-month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys providing high-quality, pragmatic HR advice and supporting managers across a broad range of people matters in a fast-paced environment.
On a day-to-day basis, you will provide support to the business and guidance to managers on employee relations issues, HR documentation, best practice and employment law, ensuring a consistent and compliant approach across the organisation.
- £15 – £17 per hour
- 25 hours per week, ideally Monday to Friday 12.30pm – 5.30pm (flexibility available)

Duties and responsibilities:
- Provide first-class HR advice and guidance via telephone and email on a wide range of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, redundancy, restructure and TUPE
- Support managers with best practice application of employment law and HR policies
- Manage and respond to HR queries in line with agreed service level agreements
- Prepare, draft and update HR documentation, including contracts, offer letters and written statements
- Support the drafting, review and maintenance of employee handbooks and HR policies
- Provide cover and support for colleagues’ clients when required
- Contribute to HR projects and ad hoc work as required by the business
- Utilise CRM systems and HR knowledge bases to ensure accurate and consistent advice
Skills and experience required:
- Proven practical HR experience at Advisor level or above
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application
- Experience providing business-focused HR advice to managers at all levels
- CIPD Level 3 or above, or equivalent HR experience
- Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to build professional relationships and manage workload effectively
- Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR systems
- Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
