Senior Accountant

• Salary up to £55k
• 37.5 hour working week, 9am–5.30pm Monday to Friday
• Friday working from home

Duties and responsibilities:

• Managing a diverse client portfolio and acting as the main point of contact
• Leading monthly client review meetings, presenting financial insights and agreeing actions
• Preparing and reviewing bookkeeping, ledgers, reconciliations, journals, accruals and prepayments
• Producing monthly and quarterly management accounts with commentary
• Preparing year‑end accounts under UK GAAP and FRS standards and handling related queries
• Preparing and submitting Self‑Assessment tax returns, corporation tax computations and CT600s
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, including complex schemes, and providing MTD and VAT advice

Required skills and experience:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong accountancy practice experience
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio and deliver end‑to‑end accounting services
• Confidence leading client meetings and explaining financial information clearly
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Experience using cloud accounting systems and Excel, with Mac experience desirable
• A client‑focused, commercially aware approach with excellent attention to detail
