Job description:
A busy local engineering business are looking for a well-organised Sales Administrator to join their friendly team.
The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative duties to support activities within the Sales and Aftersales department. This is a key role within the business where the successful candidate will process sales orders and assist with aftersales support.
Salary and benefits:
- £22,000 – £25,000 depending on experience
- 25 days annual leave (+ bank holidays)
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (1 hour lunch break)
- Office-based
As Sales Administrator, you will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Processing customer orders and creating internal order acknowledgements onto the company system.
- Producing, distributing, and ensuring timely follow-up manufacturing sign-offs to allow orders to progress.
- Verifying all necessary paperwork has been received before arranging handover dates and times.
- Sending out customer satisfaction surveys and recording results if returned.
- Receiving incoming office calls and distributing to relevant departments.
- Maintaining and regularly cleansing the CRM to ensure all contacts are live and accurate.
- Compiling and verifying monthly KPI data into relevant database for senior management reporting.
- Recording and actioning any aftersales queries, dealing with both customer and suppliers.
- Developing product knowledge and understanding of work practices to assist the sales team with quoting.
We’re looking for a Sales Administrator with the following skills and experience:
- Previous administration experience is essential
- Prior experience in sales order processing would be preferred but training will be provided to the right candidate.
- IT proficient in MS Office applications
- Familiarity with CRM/ERP systems is advantageous (training will be provided if required).
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, and communication skills to effectively convey information and interact with customers.
- Diligent, enthusiastic, and proactive, with an excellent work ethic.
- Good time management skills with ability to prioritise effectively, even when faced with tight deadlines.
- Demonstrates a relentless commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service.
- Knowledge of account systems and procedures is desirable.
