    Job description:

    On behalf of a leading educational organisation in Kettering, we’re looking for an enterprising and proactive administrator to support their central team being the first point of contact for both internal and external visitors, emails and telephone calls.

    Candidates will have previous administrative experience and be able to work within a dynamic, high pressured office environment whilst being a part of a friendly and supportive team.

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm and Fridays 8.30am – 4.00pm
    • This is a fixed term contract role starting in January through until August 2024

    Role Duties:

    • Provide high quality administrative support including organisation of travel, hospitality, photocopying, filing, emailing, and completion of routine forms/templates
    • To act as first point of contact for both internal and external visitors, emails, and telephone calls
    • Regular monitoring of the enquiries inbox and escalating as appropriate
    • Update and maintain systems and pulling reports for various purposes
    • General project work and support for the central team
    • Liaise with parents/carers, staff and external agencies
    • Support with the ordering of supplies, receiving deliveries of stock and informing intended recipient of any shortages, damage etc
    • Raise requisitions and support the Operations team with centralised finances
    • Organisation of meeting arrangements, including taking notes/minutes where required
    • To undertake any other duties, commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required from time to time

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous administrative experience is essential
    • Experience of working within education would be desirable
    • Strong communication and relationship building skills
    • Proactive and adaptable to change
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills
    • Ability to work to deadlines and within a fast-paced environment
    • IT literate – good working knowledge of MS Office and MS Teams
