The exciting world of fast-moving logistics requires fast-moving, flawless administration. That’s why we’re looking for a skilled, proactive and highly organised Customs Supervisor to join a thriving local logistics company with an international presence.
If you have excellent attention to detail, enjoy organisational tasks and have experience within freight services, import / export administration and customs administration, we’d love to hear from you. This is a full-time, permanent role offering an excellent opportunity to play a valuable part in the continued growth and success of a busy local business.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Overseeing the small customs data entry team
- Evaluating commercial invoices
- Assessing customs entries
- Accurately completing import data entries from start to finish
- Preparing customs documentation for imports
- Receiving shipment notifications and customs documents, and processing them as required
- Updating shipping tracking schedules where necessary
- Using in house systems for creating records and documents
- Communicating with customers directly
Skills and experience required:
- Customs, freight services experience and knowledge of import and export administration
- Prior experience of working in an administrative role within a logistics, shipping, distribution or import/export environment is essential
- Team player with a supportive nature that likes to give guidance
- Outstanding levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to prioritise effectively, responding and resolving urgent queries promptly where required.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Confident in the use of MS Office, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word.
Hours of work:
- Monday to Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
Salary and benefits:
- £20,000 – 30,000
