    Our client, a successful manufacturing organisation, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly office team.

    This role will involve completion of the sales ledger and credit control and would suit someone who has good working knowledge of Sage 50, but who may only have one years accounting experience but are wanting to learn and develop. Please not that this will be an office based role.


    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Raising manual invoices (match paperwork against delivery notes) and posting onto Sage
    • Completion of paperwork for drivers
    • Processing card payments over the phone
    • Processing receipts onto client accounts on Sage
    • Issuing of pro-forma invoices
    • Issuing of credit notes and re-issuing of invoices
    • Completion of credit control by email and phone
    • Completion of filing
    • Answering of phones and greeting of visitors


    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous experience within a general account’s role
    • Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
    • Numerate with a good eye for detail
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
    • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and support other areas when needed
    • Flexible


    Hours of Work:

    • 9am – 5pm (1 hour for lunch)


    Salary and benefits:

    • £18,000 – £20,000
    • 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
