    An established distributer are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join their small but friendly team on a permanent full-time or part-time basis (4 days).

    This will be a standalone role reporting into the Managing Director of the organisation and the successful applicant will take responsibility for all day to day financial functions of the business along with accounts up to trial balance.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Processing sales and purchase invoices, along with the preparation of payment files
    • Posting cash receipts and payments
    • Credit control via email and phone
    • Supplier statement reconciliations
    • Reconciliation of GBP and EUR accounts
    • Managing staff expenses and monthly payroll via Opera Payroll
    • Monthly reporting; P&L, aged debtor / stop list, accruals and prepayments
    • Quarterly pension VAT return
    • Key point of contact for auditors
    • Monthly cashflow forecasting
    • Reporting and analysis of departmental KPI
    • Dealing with company motor fleet insurance and breakdown cover
    • Assisting with relevant HR and company administration including holidays, sickness, management of car tax, business insurances, commission invoices

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Over 5 years previous experience working in a standalone role as a Finance Manager or Accounts Manager for an SME organisation
    • AAT qualified or QBE
    • Good working knowledge of an accounting package (Sage, Pegasus, QuickBooks or similar)
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Confident working autonomously with assistance from the external accountancy organisation
    • Works with a helpful and approachable communication style and a proactive, positive approach
    • Good organisational skills, able to prioritise and work to deadlines.

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm & Friday 8.30am – 4pm

     

    Salary and benefits:

    • Circa £30,000 (pro-rata for part-time hours)
    • Statutory pension
    • 25 days annual leave (3 to be taken at Christmas) + 8 Bank Holidays
