    We’re currently recruiting for an experienced, self-motivated Administrator to join our client, a prestigious estate based in Northamptonshire, offering the chance to work in a picturesque historical and rural setting.

    The successful candidate will be the face of the estate and be required to work on their own initiative, to have the proven ability to use all Microsoft office packages to a high standard, be highly organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

    You will enjoy working as part of a small friendly team based in the Estate office, which plays an important part as a hub for the local community. You will be required to represent the owner and maintain high standards whilst bringing strong attention to detail at all times.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Front of house administration dealing with all incoming and outgoing calls
    • Liaising with Farm, Estate and Commercial tenants and contractors
    • Organising routine maintenance, repairs and compliance works
    • Assisting the Estate Foreman with tendering for and managing larger works
    • Accompanying contractors where necessary
    • Undertaking empty property checks
    • Reading utility meters and manging utility accounts
    • Liaising with energy consultants to obtain quotes and contracts from utilities companies
    • Maintaining existing Estate property terriers and other property records
    • Maintaining and analysing the Estate management databases
    • Maintaining spray records
    • Maintaining livestock records
    • Maintaining insurance records and assisting with the annual renewal
    • Assisting with the management of the Estate’s fleet including maintenance of fuel records, arranging MOTs and road fund tax
    • Liaising with the Owner’s agent and other professional advisors as required
    • Alongside the above providing support to the other estate office staff as needed
    • Filing (electronic and paper systems) and archiving
    • Maintaining office stationary supplies

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Previous administration experience
    • Friendly with a positive attitude
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Works in a well-organised fashion, with excellent attention to detail
    • Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality
    • Excellent IT skills including knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office
    • The ability to assess and initiate things independently
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Well presented

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm
