We’re currently recruiting for an Part Time Office Administrator to join our client based on a prestigious estate in Northamptonshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for part-time role in a picturesque rural setting. We are looking for a bright, self-motivated individual to fill the role of office assistant. The successful candidate will support the Estate Management team and will have the proven ability to use all standard Microsoft office packages to a high standard, be highly organised and possess excellent people skills.

The successful candidate will be working in a small friendly team based in the Estate office, which is the hub of the village. They will be required to maintain high standards of tidiness and attention to detail at all times. The successful applicant will represent the Estate and discretion is of the utmost importance.

This is a part time position and the successful applicant is expected to work 9.30am – 3pm, five days per week. The successful applicant may be required to work occasional bank holidays (for which time off in lieu will be given).

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing secretarial support to the Estate management team
  • Front of house administration dealing with incoming and outgoing calls
  • Liaising with members of the public, group organisers, customers and suppliers
  • Processing invoices, checking supplier statements and requesting copy invoices
  • Handling and managing petty cash and Hall & Gardens Opening receipts
  • Banking cash and cheques
  • Maintaining the meter readings schedule
  • Submitting the monthly pension information to the pension provider
  • Assisting with the maintenance of personnel records including timesheets, holiday, time off in lieu and sickness records
  • Assisting with the day to day administration of the House Opening business
  • Assisting with the day to day running of the Estate office and filing system including an electronic document management system
  • Secretarial and personal assistant duties to, and liaising with, the Owners
  • Liaising with the Owner’s agent and other professional advisors as required

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Previous administration experience
  • Friendly with a positive attitude
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Works in a well-organised fashion, with excellent attention to detail
  • Understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent IT skills including knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office

 

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 9.30am – 3.00pm

 

Salary and benefits:

  • Circa £18,000
