Job Description

We are currently supporting the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk for our client based in Corby. The purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth running and control of the purchase ledger in order that reliable, accurate and timely management information can be obtained.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain purchase ledger
  • Process supplier invoices product and non-product
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Prepare payments for authorisation and post onto Sage
  • Liaise with purchasing/other departments for approval and resolve any disputes
  • Liaise with QA department, review goods returned (QA rejection) and chase credits from suppliers
  • Expense and credit card postings
  • Intrastat reporting
  • Month-end creditor reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Aged stock reporting

Skills and experience required:

  • Working towards an AAT qualification is desirable
  • Good working knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills


  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm (30 mins for lunch) 40 hours per week
