    Our client is an exciting start-up business within the food and beverage industry, who are soon to be entering their 8th year in business and we are currently supporting them with the recruitment of a Quality Controller to join their team on an initial six-month contract.

    Based at their 3PL site in Corby and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will work closely with the production and product development teams to ensure quality standards are being met and exceeded at multiple 3rd party manufacturing sites. You will drive the quality initiatives and work closely with the 3rd parties leading the continuous improvement across all of the company’s products.

    Due to the urgency of the role, candidates MUST be available immediately or within 1 weeks’ notice.

     

    Duties and responsibilities:

    • Establishing and managing quality standards
    • Working with 3rd party manufacturers and co packers to reduce errors and drive proactive improvements
    • Developing service level agreements with the company’s partners and monitoring and supporting the achievement of these
    • Producing and presenting quality reports and making recommendations based on findings
    • Being onsite during new product production runs, ensuring compliance to product is adhered
    • Working with customer complaints and feedback to offer solutions and resolve problems effectively
    • Ensuring quality controls are fully documented and frequently updated
    • Supporting with monthly subscription box dispatches
    • Liaising with suppliers and giving quality approval of any potential new suppliers
    • Frequent travel to 3rd party manufactures and the head office in London

     

    Skills and experience required:

    • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within quality management in the food and beverage industry
    • Excellent knowledge of EU and UK labelling regulations and quality systems
    • Good problem solver
    • Must have a full UK driving licence and own transport
    • IT literate – MS Office suite and a good knowledge of Google Suite/Workspace would be ideal

     

    Hours of work:

    • Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
    • Flexible start time between 8.30am and 9.30am
    • 2-3 days on site
