Love your job

We want you to fall in love with Mondays again, and make Sunday night blues a thing of the past. So with love still being in the air following Valentine’s Day, why not find your perfect job match?

After all, did you know that Spring can actually be one of the best times to look for a new job?

Lots of people go for the ‘new year, new me’ job move. But don’t worry if you missed the January jobs boom. Spring holds a new wave of opportunity for you…

It is true that every year we are really busy in January. But this isn’t the only surge in the recruitment market that we see in the year. More and more, Spring is rivaling January for job opportunities. As soon as the lighter nights start, the daffodils come out and the weather gets a bit better, everyone perks up. There’s real optimism in the air!

Furthermore, with it being the start of a new financial year in April, businesses want to kick off their new plans, and this often includes recruiting new team members.

This year, we’re already starting to see the same pattern. Our website is brimming with tempting local job vacancies as our clients prepare to expand their teams in 2020. Take a look today – we’ve a diverse range of opportunities in AdminHRFinanceSales and Marketing.

Brand new website!

Did you know that we have refreshed our website?

Along with our friends at ClickReturn, Vanilla’s very own Nathan and Charlene have been hard at work refreshing the design and content of our online presence.

The branding will be familiar (we’ve kept things as bright and beautiful as ever!) but look a little closer and you’ll discover that the new website:

  • is much easier to navigate and use
  • works well on mobiles and tablets
  • offers a simplified, clearer job application process

Take a look today, and if you have any feedback we’d love to hear it – drop us a line at hello@vanillarecruitment.co.uk

We’re hiring

We’re currently looking to expand our Vanilla family! If you think you have what it takes to develop and manage a busy temporary recruitment desk, we would be interested in talking to you.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have a career background in targeted sales or customer service roles and will love proactively communicating with clients and candidates on the phone and working in a fast-paced, goal-orientated environment.

Temporary recruitment is varied and exciting, so you’ll need to work with a sense of urgency and demonstrate a resilient and positive outlook, along with excellent attention to detail.

We’ll also be looking for someone who shares our passion for providing exceptional service and developing long-lasting business relationships.

To find out more, you can read about the opportunity here, or email Eloise Shelton at eshelton@vanillarecruitment.co.uk

The B-word

As we all enter a transitional period following Brexit Day on January 31st, we’ll be keeping our eyes on trends in the job market, as well as anything that might change for job applicants and whether we need to adapt our registration processes in any way.

For the time being, according to www.gov.uk, “the current rules on trade, travel, and business for the UK and EU will continue to apply during the transition period. New rules will take effect on 1 January 2021”.

We’ll keep you posted.

You can also sign up on the government website to be notified about any changes that affect you as the new rules are decided, by visiting https://www.gov.uk/transition-check
